TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME IN DARLING HARBOUR IN SYDNEY
Darling Harbour in Sydney is the place you come to have fun! Normally eclipsed by the world famous Circular Quay, however, it is one of my favourite spots in the whole city. There is so much to see and do in Darling Harbour that I genuinely think you would struggle to get through even half of the attractions in one day. There’s no iconic Opera House or Harbour Bridge here. Still, there is everything else and more. Some great bars are on offer, such as Blackbird Café and Pontoon, as well as many eateries, including the Hard Rock Café, which only opened a few years ago. As far as attractions go, this is where you come to have fun. You have the Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife Zoo and Madame Tussaud’s all in the same area and opposite here is the Maritime Museum and Harbourside Shopping Center.

But my personal favourite has to be the Chinese Garden of Friendship. It’s so different compared to all the other attractions in Sydney. Its beauty is in abundance and the sense of calm you will feel walking through is wonderful. Recently, they have added their own Ferris Wheel called “Star of the Show.” It’s no London Eye, but it does change colour and looks lovely at night with the rest of Darling Harbour lit up behind it.
Make sure to check out the free War Memorials outside the Convention Center, which are an emotionally moving tribute. There are displays of large-scale photographs etched into the metal, showing soldiers at war with their stories displayed next to them. It’s interesting to read some of the acts of bravery members of the armed forces have endured.
