MY ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS ABOVE:

TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT THIS WORLD THAT YOU ADMIRE.

Our resilience! Although the global pandemic was the worst time in everyone’s life, I admired how the world came together and helped each other get through this challenging period. From the people of Italy signing on their balconies during lockdown to cheer up their neighbours, to kids drawing rainbows in the UK, and sticking them on their windows to spread joy.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FORM OF CREATIVITY?

Always with a camera in my hand! Taken outside Edinburgh Castle by my husband Zac.

Besides blogging, I absolutely love photography. I was first introduced to it when I was 16 and in my first year of college, some 22 years ago, I’ve been hooked ever since. In fact, I never have a camera out of my hand. It brings me so much joy to capture beautiful moments in life or photograph a well-known monuments and beautiful landscapes. When my family and I eventually move into our future dream house, it will be filled with hundreds of images I have taken on my adventures, as well as my favourite shots of family and friends.

SHARE SOMETHING YOU CREATED. (CAN BE ANYTHING!)

My blog: www.thetravelvine.blog. I am so proud of what I have achieved here. This is something I have wanted to do for a while, but I was always too scared to take the plunge. Then I lost my dream job as a Travel Agent in March 2020, at the start of the pandemic. Despite being absolutely crushed, I knew that the time to start my travel blog was now. So I started writing, and I haven’t stopped since!

MY ANSWERS TO READ AND REVIEW ITS QUESTIONS:

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK AND WHY?

Oh, this is a tough one. I have so many! There are three at least. One is Flowers in the Attic. In fact, I loved the whole series, and I couldn’t put it down. Seriously, who locks their kids in the attic and practically forgets about them??? The second would be another series by Sharon Penman, called Here Be Dragons: A Welsh Princes Trilogy. Set during the reign of rubbish King John of England (1199-1217), and how the English eventually defeated the Welsh Princes. It’s such a sad book, so much so that I actually cried on the train on the way home from work one night, when I finished the last book, as I thought it was so sad! And lastly, all the Outlander books. I’m a HUGE fan πŸ™‚

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF BLOGGING?

Yaaahooo! Outside Parliament House in Canberra, Australia

I love sharing my wealth of travel knowledge with the world and virtually meeting so many wonderful bloggers and fellow traveler’s out there who share my passion for adventure. It’s also a platform to share my travel photography.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD DO MORE OF?

Looking after the environment and reducing our carbon footprint. There are certain things here that I am a bit of a hypocrite of. I do fly, and I also drive. However, I do my absolute best to reduce, reuse and recycle, and above all, picking up my rubbish after myself!!! This is something I am very passionate about. I live in a small coastal town, which tourists flock to in the summer months and explore our beautiful beaches and stunning national parks. But many people leave their rubbish behind, and it’s left to us locals to pick up after them. My daughter and I often pick up cans, plastic wrappers, and bottles, then take it home to put in the bin. After all, it will only end up in the ocean, and we can’t have that!

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE BEFORE 2021 ENDS?

The goal I want to achieve by the end of the year is to get to at least 50 subscribers on my email list. I’m currently on 22. This would be wonderful for me, as it would help me grow my community and build my audience. If you’d like to subscribe, CLICK HERE 😊
